Y4 Trip to MOTAT!
Last week, Room 20 went on a trip to MOTAT. This was to help consolidate our learning from our inquiry topic this term 'Curiosity Can Lead to Innovation'. We have been researching a variety of inventions, and looking at the pros and cons of these. We have learnt that we live in a world of constant change and we have to learn to be open to it, connect with it and sometimes question it.
At MOTAT, we got to see a range of inventions and innovations from New Zealand and around the world, and how much things have change over time. Have a look at some photos from our trip...

Surf to School
On Tuesday, Room 20 and Room 21 participated in the Surf to School programme. This was an hour Beach Education session that was run by surf lifeguards who taught us surf safety. We learned how to be both water and sun safe at the beach, and we also learned the role of a surf lifeguard!
